KPMG’ s outplacement services help organizations cope effectively with employee redundancies due to re-organization, mergers, new strategy, etc., assist people in alleviating the trauma of dismissal, equip departing employees with the skills to find themselves appropriate jobs, and assist, through contacts, to find suitable jobs for the departing employees.
These services are customized in an effort to meet the specific requirements of both the sponsor-company and the participant-employee. The stages that KPMG's professionals follow are:
- Meet with the manager in charge in order to fully understand the circumstances as well as the background of the individual(s)
- Meet with each of the employees immediately after they have been informed of the decision, to discuss present issues and agree upon a suitable action plan
- Continuous consultation and counseling including: psychological support, assessment/testing and constructive feedback, transfer of necessary performance appraisal know-how, secretarial support, review of all possible offers, etc.
